You’d like to do this

This key position will interact with and support teams in a dynamic and product-focused environment. This role will interface with personnel from the Product/Division, Program Management, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing with respect to BlueHalo processes, including Configuration Management (CM). Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, ensuring proper processes are implemented and correct documentation is captured, and the application of CM principles including configuration planning, identification, change control, status accounting, and auditing with regards to program tasks are adhered to with regards to the Product Development Life Cycle.

This position will report to the Senior Manager, Engineering and support key programs/products are required.

Essential Functions:

  • Implement and apply Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) process and tools as it applies to engineering departments.

  • Prepare documentation for and participate in Change Control Board (CCB) reviews.

  • Review Engineering change data and coordinate changes with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Program Management, and others.

  • Work with the Engineers to create and review items, documentation, and ECOs. Enter required documents and information into the PLM software repository, Arena.

  • Address adherence to standard configuration management procedures to include configuration identification, status accounting, configuration control and configuration audits.

  • Provide training on tools and processes as needed.

  • Provide support for multiple inter-program screening reviews, often providing high visibility status accounting information with rapid turnaround times to support ordering/production of urgent program delivery requirements.

  • Be an active participant in production status meetings and be responsible for helping prepare and then implement CM alteration document planning and submission.

  • Provide general instruction, direction, coordination and implementation of configuration management requirements, policies, and practices pertaining to configuration identification, control, and status accounting for development of production products (i.e. baseline documentation, hardware, and software) in accordance with business and contract requirements.

  • Work at Systems-level to ensure Systems and Engineering colleagues meet configuration management requirements and objectives via advocacy, training, and frequent contact.

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure mission objectives.

  • Team with others/departments to understand configuration management needs.

  • Support Engineering teams and Manufacturing as needed.

  • Assist Electrical (Altium) and Mechanical Engineering (SolidWorks/PDM) teams with design and clerical duties. Ability to provide CAD modeling support, as needed, for the creation or modification of parts and/or assemblies and machine drawings for mechanical engineering projects is not required but a plus.

You’re required to have this

  • Must possess one of the following:

  • Bachelor’s +2 years of experience

  • Associates +4 years of experience

  • HS Diploma and 6+ years of experience
