The Identity Management Architect will lead and implement the design, development and delivery of Identity Governance and Identity Access solutions and contribute to domain architecture, roadmap, standards and best practices for critical organization wide systems. Works under minimal supervision, with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Develop and continually evolve Identity and Access Management (IAM) architecture and roadmap. 2. Design, configure, and deploy identity solutions, including identity provisioning, authentication, authorization, and single sign-on (SSO). 3. Work with various technical teams and business stakeholders for identity service requirement collection and input into long-term strategies. 4. Drive the IAM platform solution deployment process and best practices. 5. Evaluate and recommend IAM and Identity Governance technologies, tools, and frameworks. 6. Review current cyber security and criminal justice information systems (CJIS) policies to ensure IAM design and roadmap is in compliance. 7. Creates and maintains standards surrounding documentation related to identity processes, procedure, and infrastructure. 8. Implement access controls, role-based access, and least privilege principles. 9. Attend work regularly and observe approved work hours in accordance with agency leave and attendance policies. 10.Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS: Education Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field. Experience Minimum of five (5) years experience performing as a network or identity architect in or supporting an enterprise environment, preferably at a government agency, configuring and administering an Identity Provider (IdP) solution, preferably Secureauth experience/knowledge, and IAM design/implementation. Substitution Note: 1 year verifiable experience = 1 year education. Licensure and/or Certification If driving is required, must possess a valid driver license from state of residence. Certifications (CISSP, CISM, or similar) are highly desirable. Regulatory knowledge Working knowledge of, or the ability to rapidly assimilate information related to TXDPS, State and Federal regulations, legislation, guidelines, policies, and procedures. Technology Proficiency with Microsoft Office and appropriate levels of proficiency with utili ed software and systems (e.g. CAPPS, SharePoint) and be able to learn new software/systems. Cloud architectures - Advanced knowledge of Cloud architectures and the ability address the unique identity considerations of Cloud computing. Identity provider (IdP) - Working knowledge of IdP solutions for both hosted and on-prem solutions. Proficiency in IAM protocols (SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect), directory services (LDAP, Active Directory), and identity governance. Working knowledge of multi-factor authentication (MFA), privileged access management (PAM), and identity lifecycle management. Interpersonal Skills Must demonstrate an ability to exercise poise, tact, diplomacy and an ability to establish and maintain positive, working professional relationships with internal/external customers. Analytical Reasoning/Attention to Detail Must demonstrate an ability to examine data/information, discern variations/similarities, and beable identify trends, relationships and causal factors, as well as grasp issues, draw accurate conclusions, and solve problems. Confidentiality and Protected Information Must demonstrate an ability to responsibly handle sensitive and confidential information and situations and adhere to applicable laws/statutes/policies related to access, maintenance and dissemination of information. Safety Must be able to work in safe manner at all times, avoiding shortcuts that have potential adverse results/risks, and must be able to comply with safety standards and best practices. Schedule and/or Remote/Telecommuting work and/or Travel Availability for after-hours, weekend work, holidays and emergencies is required.
