The IAM Security Engineers role includes design, implementation, support, and management of the enterprise systems and processes to ensure security controls and countermeasures are effective with a goal of preventing, detecting, and eliminating security threats. Additional Responsibilities: Comply with applicable legal requirements, standards, policies and procedures including, but not limited to the Compliance Program: Code of Conduct, HIPAA and Documentation Standards. Maintains a commitment to the values and mission of AccentCare. Additional responsibilities as assigned by one’s supervisor or other manager related to the position/department. Support and integrate cloud solutions with IAM to ensure consistent and secure IAM across all enterprise platforms reducing risk to users Ensure IAM systems and processes comply with relevant regulations including HIPAA and others Oversee the IAM lifecycle management, including provisioning, de-provisioning, de-provisioning, and modifying access rights Support security investigations and respond to security events and potential incidents related to identity and access, such as unauthorized access or suspicious account activity/behaviors Integrate and troubleshoot IAM solutions and services with various systems and application owners, including login failures, access denials, and authentication errors Automate IAM tasks to improve efficiency and reduce the risk of human error Stay updated on the latest IAM trends, technologies, and best practices maturing IAM for the organization Act as subject matter expert to provide insight and guidance to colleagues engaging in prevention measures Strong focus on responding to incidents and conducting investigations as events happen through log analysis Be the Best Senior Cyber Security Engineer You Can Be! If you meet these qualifications, we want to meet you! A degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field is preferred 8+ years in Information Technology and or Information Security 3+ years in IAM role Experience with security standards and frameworks such as HIPAA, HITRUST, NIST, etc Certifications like CISSP and or other IAM certifications preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory) Deep understanding of authentication protocols like SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, and LDAP Thorough knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices, particularly around identity and access controls Ability to analyze access patterns and identify potential security risks or inefficiencies that include risky user behavior pattens and events Experience developing and implementing IAM strategies and solutions, including single sign-on (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA), identity federation, and privileged access management (PAM) Working knowledge of operating systems including Linux/Unix and Windows Familiarity with scripting languages a plus as Python, Perl, PowerShell, etc. Strong written and verbal communicator with the ability to tailor deliverables appropriately for various audiences Strong critical thinking skills: ability to quickly comprehend problems, develop hypotheses, draw logical conclusions, develop solutions, and respond accordingly A self-starter with experience proactively identifying problems, determining practical solutions, identifying and obtaining needed resources, and executing with little or no supervision Proven ability to manage multiple projects and workstreams concurrently and successfully An in-depth understanding of core information technology processes and controls Strong project/process management skills Proficient in interacting with and creating a collaborative working environment amongst and stakeholders at all levels of the organization Come As You Are At AccentCare, our care is most compassionate when we empathize and engage with everyone, and we are at our best when we value diverse perspectives, foster open dialogue, and enact change.
