Job Description:
Contribute to and perform on a team that supports the requirements, design, development, test, integration, and continual health analysis of complex, specialized hardware/software FCS system.
Participate in the design and development of FCS system architectures incorporating specialized antennas, user interface and recording capability.
Participate in the design and development of data transportation systems to retrieve and disseminate data from the delivered systems.
Essential Functions:
Translate end-user requirements into collection system settings for use on delivered systems.
Analyze data from delivered systems to verify proper operation and data fidelity and to support troubleshooting/repair efforts.
Provide reporting to the end-user to aid in the final analysis/use of the data from delivered systems.
Provide reporting to the maintainers of the delivered systems regarding anomalies in the data.
Maintain/monitor/operate data transportation systems.
Maintain records relating to the operation of the delivered systems.
Translate the requirements of the customer into system level requirements documents
Perform requirement traceability methods and purpose
Perform systems engineering trade study process
Evaluate trade studies for accuracy and completeness
Evaluate alternative solutions and establish preliminary system design
Write subsystem specifications based on system level requirements
Review and evaluate electrical wiring diagrams to ensure design details trace to system requirements
Write effective verification test procedures ensuring system performance and capabilities meet system requirements
Conduct sub-system and system verification testing in a SIL and on aircraft
Prepare effective presentations to communicate technical information to non-technical professionals
Develop and implement software and system test plans in a team environment
Qualifications:
U.S Citizenship
Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate engineering discipline (Electrical, Systems, Software, etc.) or minimum of four (4) years of applicable experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
Active Secret clearance and must be eligible to maintain a DOD Top Secret (TS/SCI) Security Clearance
Ability to acquire Security+ Certification
Preferred Additional Skills:
Experience working software development efforts
Experience with SIGNIT
Basic knowledge of LINUX and LINUX network/LAN connectivity.
Experience with DOORS, JIRA, or other Requirement’s traceability products
Excellent written, oral, and presentation communication skills
Experience working with subcontractors and US Government customers
Coursework and/or experience in systems engineering, systems architecture, systems analysis and design, system performance modeling, integration and/or project management, and/or model-based systems engineering
Functional working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
