BAE Systems Regional Security Manager in San Diego, California
Job Description
Join a dynamic and well-versed IT & Security team that provides support across several business areas within BAE Systems' Electronic Systems (ES) sector. The opportunity to be part of the security team, in one of the leading companies in Aerospace and Defense, offers a motivated professional a unique entry point to work across a broad range of activities. BAE Systems is hiring a Regional Security Manager with oversight of all security activities related within the National Capital and West Coast regions.
Tasks include, but are not limited to:
Day to day oversight and management of the security teams supporting Electronic Systems sites located on the West Coast and National Capital Region
Integration of security into product line business activity and site leadership
Strategic leadership to the Industrial Program Security directorate across Electronic Systems
Set the vision, strategy, and execution plan for compliance integration of the Local Security Officers (LSOs)
Build trusted relationships with business area leadership, finding opportunities for risk mitigation
Coordinate with Cyber Assurance peer to ensure compliance of classified information systems within Area of Responsibility (AOR)
Attract, hire, and retain a high-performing team of world-class talent
Lead the development and implementation of effective and reasonable policies
Ensure compliant program while enabling business execution on cost and on schedule
Modernize and sustain current practices, establish continuous improvement strategy for current practices
Oversee financial management, ensuring budget adherence, cost control, and efficient allocation of resources without exceeding limits
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor s Degree and 10 years experience
Must have a Secret clearance, with ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI. Must be able to successfully pass a Counter Intelligence polygraph
Must demonstrate proven leadership skills, and excellent communication skills
Strong understanding of compliance programs and integration into business operations
Demonstrated knowledge of 32 CFR Part 117, DoD SAP Manuals, Intelligence Directives, and customer mandated governance
Demonstrated ability to create innovative solutions that create exceptional collaboration environments
Ability to solve complex decisions independently
Capable of developing collaborative relationships both internally and externally
Identify inefficiencies, functional overlap, synergies and opportunities and implement solutions
Demonstrated ability to instill culture of compliant business execution, without roadblocks
Experience working with product development teams in an agile or DevOps environment
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Master s Degree
TS/SCI with current CI Polygraph
Knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Special Access Program Cyber Assurance requirements
Technical understanding of Information Systems, accreditation process, and IT Systems administration.
Actively participating or leading an industry working groups with the ability to influence partnership with government agencies
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $124080 - $210980
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
